They approached the accused and the accused demanded four lakh rupees. He gave four lakh rupees, but his daughter was not sent to New Zealand. विदेश भेजने के नाम पर धोखाधड़ी, दो मामलों में पांच लोग नामजद आरोपियों में एक महिला भी है शामिल, तलाश में छापामारी शुरू मुल्लापुर दाखा (लुधियाना)। विदेश भेजने के नाम पर ठग ट्रैवल एजेंटों द्वारा भोले भाले लोगों को लगातार ठगे जाने के मामले सामने आ रहे है। थाना दाखा की पुलिस ने धोखाधड़ी के दो मामलों में पांच लोगों को नामजद किया है। इनमें एक महिला भी है। गांव जांगपुर के रहने वाले गुरजीत सिंह ने बताया कि उसकी बेटी हरमनजोत कौर विदेश जाना चाहती थी। उसने अपनी 12वीं तक की पढ़ाई पूरी कर ली और बाकी की पढ़ाई न्यूजीलैंड में करना चाहती थी। गांव में ही रहने वाली मनप्रीत कौर के साथ उनकी मुलाकात हुई तो उसने बताया कि उसका मामा बंगा में पार्षद है और वह अपने दोस्त अरुण के साथ मिल उसे विदेश भेज देगा। उन्होंने आरोपियों के साथ संपर्क किया और आरोपियों ने चार लाख रुपये की मांग की। उन्होंने चार लाख रुपये तो दे दिए, लेकिन उनकी बेटी को न्यूजीलैंड नहीं भेजा। जांच के बाद पुलिस ने इस मामले में परमजीत सिंह, अरुण और मनप्रीत कौर के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया है।  दूसरे मामले में गांव पंडोरी के रहने वाले हरप्रीत सिं

With almost 700 consultants, the district is fast becoming a hub of fly-by-night immigration firms that promise a new life abroad but deliver precious little The figures are startling. The Mohali police receive around five complaints against travel agents every day. It’s a big number for a city of educated people, but fly-by-night operators continue to make hay by feeding on foreign dreams. The recent arrest of three persons, including a woman, by the crime investigating agency (CIA) wing of the Mohali police is a testimony to the large number of people being duped by fraudulent immigration firms in the district. Last November, alarmed by the increasing immigration frauds, the Punjab and Haryana High Court had asked the police in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh to verify whether all such agencies were registered. The court had asked the police to not only verify the advertisements given in the traditional media but also check the promotional material pasted on autos. ILLEGAL
