In Mohali, students of medical stream fare better As many as 100 students of Gian Jyoti Public School passed the exam. Gunjanpreet from medical stream got 96.2 per cent marks and stood first in the school. 30 dogs at Mohali shelter ‘attacked with acid, sticks, machete’; cops deny claim More than 30 dogs were allegedly attacked with acid, sticks and machete at an animal shelter in Nandiali village near Airport Road on Tuesday. The owner of the shelter, Protection and Care for Animals (PACFA), claimed that the dogs were brutally beaten up and then acid was thrown at them. However, police who were informed of the incident denied that the dogs were attacked. Dhaliwal said, “I am running the shelter inside a rented space. Dharminder, a servant at the owner’s house came and attacked the dogs under the influence of alcohol with three others. The owners asked me to vacate the house a fortnight ago.” Dhaliwal further added that a dog was killed and the body was recovered. She claimed four of the pups were cut and injured. She further said 19 dogs were missing and 11 sustained grievous injuries. She named three men and claimed that they attacked the boys in the shelter home.

His son had been in depression, he said.  In the suicide note, Teji described the torture he was subjected to in Georgia.
