With 98%, Pulkit tops Mohali

Pulkit Johar, a students of medical stream at Anee's School, Sector 69, topped Mohali with 98 per cent marks in Class XII.
Manpreet Singh Juneja topped in non-medical with 97.2 per cent while
Jashanpreet Kaur with 95.4 per cent stood first in commerce. Abha Mishra
topped humanities with 90.8 per cent marks. All three belong to
Lawrence Public Senior Secondary School.
“Currently, Pulkit is at the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine. We too could not
contact him as his mobile phone is not reachable," said Pulkit’s kin,
claiming that he was not aware of his feat.
Manpreet Singh Juneja, who is also a state-level chess player, said the
achievement had brought him near to his dream of becoming a computer
engineer. Sharing his success mantra, Manpreet said he studied three to
four hours daily apart from his math and chemistry coaching classes.
Notably, Manpreet’s mother was detected with breast cancer last year. He
has got 1350th rank in the JEE (Main).
Jashanpreet Kaur, who topped Mohali in commerce, is also a district-level athlete and has won a gold in the 4X100 m relay race.
Jashanpreet added that she wanted to be either a very successful
chartered accountant or a banker. “Right now, I am enjoying my success”,
said Jashanpreet Kaur.
Abha Mishra, who scored 90.8 per cent marks in humanities in Mohali,
wanted to become an IAS officer. “My favourite subject is political
science, in which I got 95 per cent marks. I want to serve my country by
joining the Civil Services," said the youngster.
