Relatives of a youth, who allegedly committed suicide in front of the office of an immigration consultancy service here, have demanded the arrest of the company manager. They went to the police station and also met the SSP today in connection with the case.

Sukhwant Singh had allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance on December 2.

Suspecting foul play, he said Sukhwant Singh was not immediately taken to hospital by the company staff. Instead, his body allegedly reached the hospital at 7.30 pm.

Relatives of the deceased had alleged that Sukhwant Singh was upset as the management of the Rudrakash Group was not returning Rs 2.5 lakh, which it had allegedly taken from him on the pretext of sending him to Canada on a work visa. Sukhwant Singh, a resident of Chattha Gobindpura village in Sangrur, was working as a development officer in a private bank at Patran.
