30 dogs at Mohali shelter ‘attacked with acid, sticks, machete’; cops deny claim More than 30 dogs were allegedly attacked with acid, sticks and machete at an animal shelter in Nandiali village near Airport Road on Tuesday. The owner of the shelter, Protection and Care for Animals (PACFA), claimed that the dogs were brutally beaten up and then acid was thrown at them. However, police who were informed of the incident denied that the dogs were attacked. Dhaliwal said, “I am running the shelter inside a rented space. Dharminder, a servant at the owner’s house came and attacked the dogs under the influence of alcohol with three others.
